This is the most expensive apparel category on the site because outerwear with fill or technical fabric costs more to make than a hoodie. Weidian carries most of the branded outerwear, Moncler, The North Face, Burberry and Corteiz among them, while Taobao adds long-named down jackets described by fill and model number and 1688 the cheapest puffers. A large share of jackets carries no brand tag, partly because Arc'teryx and Canada Goose are not on the tag list.

Before you order jackets

  • Ask for the fill type and fill weight. "Down" on a cheap listing is almost always polyester fill; the QC photos will not show the difference, but the seller will usually answer if asked.
  • Down puffers are the heaviest item on the site: 1–1.5 kg each, more with a box. Ask USFans to vacuum-pack down jackets; it can cut volumetric weight substantially and does not damage synthetic fill.
  • Check the zip on the QC photos: ask for a photo with the zip half open and a close-up of the pull. Cheap zips are the first thing to fail on a puffer.
  • Shell jackets: ask for a photo of the seam taping on the inside. Untaped seams on a listing described as waterproof tell you the fabric is a lookalike.
  • Sizing on jackets runs small in the shoulders. Measure a jacket you own across the shoulders and ask the seller for the same figure.
  • Order before September if you want a winter jacket in time: the tax-free line takes 12–18 days plus 1–2 processing days, and warehouse volume rises through October and November.

Which jackets are ordered most?

Use the default order. The first cards are promoted finds that sellers pay to place; after those the grid ranks by recorded orders, so that is where the most-ordered jackets sit. Cheap Moncler-style puffers and North Face Nuptse listings from 1688 usually lead, with the pricier shell jackets further down.

What does a jacket cost landed?

The find's price plus the 5 % service fee, then shipping for 1–1.5 kg. On the tax-free US line at $12–15 per kg that adds $12–23; on express at $22–35 per kg it adds $22–53. Customs charges, if any, come on top. Vacuum packing can bring the billed weight down.

Why are so many jackets untagged?

The brand tag is derived from the listing name with a fixed list of brand patterns. Arc'teryx and Canada Goose are not on that list, and many Taobao down jackets are named by model number. Use the search box with a word from the name instead of the brand filter.

Should I ship a jacket by sea to save money?

Sea freight at $6–8 per kg is the cheapest line but takes 30–45 days, and it is usually only offered above a minimum weight. For a single jacket the saving over the tax-free line is small; it makes sense when you consolidate several heavy items into one parcel.
